Baseball Recap: North Wilkes Comes Up Short

After flying high against Alleghany on Thursday, North Wilkes came back down to earth. The Vikings came up short against the Wilkes Central Eagles on Friday, falling 15-2. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

North Wilkes' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Wilkes Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.

North Wilkes didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against East Surry on the 1st. As for Wilkes Central, they have also already played their next game, a 14-5 loss against North Surry on the 1st.
