The Moniteau Warriors will square off against the Brookville Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Brookville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Moniteau, who comes in off a win.
Moniteau took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let North Clarion get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Carson Minnear looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Moniteau got a massive performance out of Dawson Cook, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Cook a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Derrik Creedon-Moyer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Moniteau hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Clarion struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Brookville's offense. They lost 6-0 to St. Marys on Friday. The Raiders' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Brookville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Kalgren, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Moniteau's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Brookville, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Brookville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Moniteau hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. It's a different story for Brookville, though, as they've only averaged .168. Will they be able to contain Moniteau's hitters?
Moniteau couldn't quite finish off Brookville in their previous meeting back in March and fell 4-2. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
