Softball Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

The Freedom Irish didn't have quite enough to beat the Bay Port Pirates on Monday and fell 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Irish have lost by exactly two runs.

Breanna Dallmann was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Freedom has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Bay Port, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record this season.

Freedom wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against Seymour on the 26th. As for Bay Port, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Sheboygan North on the 19th.
