Basketball Recap: Spring Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Spring entered their tilt with MacArthur on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 42-20 margin over the MacArthur Generals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-15 back in December of 2024.

Spring found their leader in sophomore Gabby Salazar, who posted 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Miracle Quarles, who had four points in addition to eight boards and five steals.

Spring is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-16 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for MacArthur, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-22 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Spring Lions duke it out with the Dekaney Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for MacArthur, they will head out on the road to face off against Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
