Softball Recap: Richland County Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Richland County's offense. They came up short against the Marion Wildcats on Saturday, falling 10-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Richland County has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Marion, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-6.

Coming up, Richland County will venture away from home to take on Paris at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marion, they will take on Waltonville in a tournament on Saturday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
