Football Recap: Marion Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Marion had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it four. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 35-34 to the Richmond Red Devils. While the Giants didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Devils 7-0 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Marion still got an impressive performance from Jayden Johnson, who rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Johnson is now averaging an impressive 106.1 rushing yards per game.

As for Richmond, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Richmond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jai Allen, who rushed for 127 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 44 receiving yards and one score. Those 44 receiving yards gave Allen a new career-high. Thomas Stargell was in the mix as well, providing Richmond with two TDs.
