Volleyball Recap: Naperville Central Beats Dekalb for Their Third Straight Win

Naperville Central entered their tilt with DeKalb on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Barbs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Naperville Central got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 24-26, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why DeKalb lost, don't look at Mia Zepeda. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and three assists. Yara Aljamal also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Naperville Central's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for DeKalb, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.
