Baseball Recap: Palisade Finds Playoff Glory Versus Falcon

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Palisade walked away with it. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Falcon Falcons on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.

Palisade got a great performance from Garrett Draper as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Draper has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hunter Howard, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one double. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tobyn Trottier, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Palisade's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Falcon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-5-1.

As of now, neither Palisade nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
