Union Pines extended their home winning streak to seven games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Savannah McCaskill. The Vikings strolled past the Jack Britt Buccaneers with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 36-22 with plenty of help from McCaskill, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. McCaskill is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Jack Britt saw an underclassman step up: freshman Azaria Burks posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Daiana Johnson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Union Pines now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jack Britt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Union Pines will be playing in front of their home fans against Montgomery Central at 6:00 p.m. on the 4th. As for Jack Britt, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-37 defeat against Gray's Creek on the 2nd.
