Softball Recap: Fountain Central Comes Up Short

Fountain Central fell victim to Seeger and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Fountain Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacquelynn Weber, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Fountain Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Seeger, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

While Fountain Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
