Bell was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Dixie County on Friday. Bell put the hurt on Dixie County with a sharp 11-1 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Alaina Thomas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Mayzie Carpenter was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Maddie Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI.
Bell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dixie County only posted a batting average of .211.
