Central Lake beats Atlanta for their fifth straight win

The Central Lake Trojans had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Atlanta 36-12. The result was nothing new for Central Lake, who have now won four games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Central Lake was led to victory by Drayten Evans and Garrison Barrett. Evans rushed for 223 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, while Barrett rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Barrett was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.

Atlanta's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Galea, who picked up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Central Lake's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Atlanta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Central Lake will head out on the road to face off against St.Ignace at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St.Ignace's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five games. Atlanta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
