Softball Recap: Mineral County Serpents vs. Tonopah Muckers
While Mineral County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Tonopah Muckers by a score of 8-4 on Saturday. The eight-run effort marked the Serpents' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Caitlynn Sanchez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Raeane Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
