Football Recap: Calumet New Tech Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Calumet New Tech was the 26-14 winner over Highland when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors and the Trojans were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Warriors suffered a 31-30 defeat. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryce Brandon, who rushed for 104 yards and one score on only 13 carries. Brandon is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 104 every time he's taken the field this season. Michael Olivarri was in the mix too, providing Calumet New Tech with one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, Calumet New Tech fell to 3-1. As for Highland, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Calumet New Tech will take on Bowman Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Highland, they will square off against Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
