Baseball Recap: Philo Takes a Loss

Philo lost against West Muskingum back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Electrics fell 8-5 to the Tornadoes. The defeat leaves the Electrics still looking for their first win of the season.

Philo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Payton, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That hit was Payton's first of the season.

Philo's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Muskingum, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philo will welcome New Lexington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Muskingum, they will host Logan at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tornadoes are facing the Chieftains at the right time seeing as the Chieftains are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
