Softball Recap: Hoopa Valley Takes a Loss

Hoopa Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 7-1 to the South Fork Cubs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 on Thursday.

Hoopa Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amakyarram Bennett Blake, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Hoopa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for South Fork, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Hoopa Valley has already played their next matchup, a 9-3 victory against Ferndale on the 10th. As for South Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 loss against St. Bernard's on the 10th.
