Basketball Recap: Fort Plain Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fonda-Fultonville, Fort Plain was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 73-68 win over the Northville Falcons. The victory continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won four in a row.

Owen Castellano had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 33 points. He is becoming a predictor of Fort Plain's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of E'nyjah Brown, who posted 18 points.

Fort Plain's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Northville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Plain will host Loudonville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northville, they will challenge Cobleskill-Richmondville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
