Basketball Game Preview: Mayfield Wildcats vs. Bedford Bearcats

The Mayfield Wildcats will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Bedford Bearcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mayfield is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell 73-65 to Nordonia on Saturday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Bedford unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Ignatius on Saturday.

Mayfield will have to keep a close watch on Kevin Woodgett and Aaron Mcguinea, a pair of players who had a big impact on Bedford's prior game. Woodgett went 6-for-13 en route to 20 points and five assists, while Mcguinea shot 44% from the field to rack up 19 points and seven boards. Daverion Lovejoy was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.
