Basketball Recap: Key West Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westminster Christian, Key West was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They snuck past the IMG Academy Gray Ascenders with a 54-49 win.

Key West had a senior duo take command as David Aviles went 5 for 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals and Kameron Roberts posted 17 points and seven boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aviles has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tramane Scott, who had four points and ten rebounds.

Key West now has a winning record of 9-8. As for IMG Academy Gray, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Key West has already played their next match (against Hallandale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. IMG Academy Gray has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Charlotte.
