Basketball Game Preview: Kenwood Broncos vs. Marist RedHawks

Kenwood hasn't had much luck against Marist recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Kenwood Broncos will square off against the Marist RedHawks at 7:00 p.m. Kenwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Marist likes a good challenge.

Kenwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They strolled past Whitney Young with points to spare, taking the game 71-55.

Kenwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from London Walker George, who went 6-for-10 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariella Henigan, who posted 15 points along with six assists and six boards.

Meanwhile, Marist had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-40 win over the Warriors.

Kenwood's victory bumped their record up to 32-3. As for Marist, their win bumped their record up to 26-8.

Kenwood came up short against Marist when the teams last played back in January of 2019, falling 54-45. Can Kenwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
