Baseball Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Cross County Thunderbirds, falling 16-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Willard, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Willard's first of the season.

Bay's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Cross County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-8.

Coincidentally, Bay and Cross County will both be playing Rector the next time they take the field. The Thunderbirds will host the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Yellowjackets will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
