Woodinville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Mount Si Wildcats 9-8. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 13-9 victory back in April.

Maya Matthews tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Woodinville let Emma Bero and Addisen Hagen run wild. Bero went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Hagen went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Hagen's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jane Ford, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Woodinville is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Mount Si, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-7.
