Volleyball Recap: Masconomet Regional Chieftains vs. Saugus Sachems
Masconomet Regional waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Saugus Sachems 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chieftains also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Masconomet Regional walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-17.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Masconomet Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elise Clapp, who had seven aces and five digs. Those seven aces gave Clapp a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lidia Benedetto, who had 12 digs and two assists.
