Basketball Recap: Meadowcreek Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Hady Diane and Fred Williams

Meadowcreek was the 48-47 winner over Peachtree Ridge when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Meadowcreek Mustangs took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peachtree Ridge Lions on Monday.

Meadowcreek's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Fred Williams, who went 6 for 11 to rack up 13 points and four steals, and Hady Diane, who posted 11 points. Williams continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Enzo Wea, who put up five points and six boards.

Meadowcreek's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Peachtree Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.
