Basketball Game Preview: Valley Rams vs. Glenwood Gators

The Valley Rams and the Glenwood Gators will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Valley came up short against LaFayette and fell 49-38.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Antwan Greenwood, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zan Woody, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 12 points.

Glenwood has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lanett on Friday.

Glenwood's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Valley lost to Glenwood at home by a decisive 62-44 margin when the teams last played back in November. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Glenwood's Jadarian Holloway, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 20 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Now that Valley knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
