Basketball Recap: Marist Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Marist rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bloom Blazing Trojan by a score of 68-61. The RedHawks haven't had any issues with the Blazing Trojan recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

When it comes to explaining why Bloom lost, don't look at Kazaria(Kuh-Zar-E-Ah) Smith. Despite the final result, she went 9-for-12 en route to 20 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamyrn Turner, who posted 14 points and five steals.

Marist's record is now 26-8. As for Bloom, with the defeat, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-3.

Coming up, Marist will face off against Homewood-Flossmoor at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bloom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
