Basketball Recap: Echo Comes Up Short

Echo was the 79-65 winner over Dufur when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Echo Cougars fell just short of the Dufur Rangers by a score of 42-40 on Saturday. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Echo and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Dufur, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Echo will venture away from home to square off against Condon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dufur will take on Heppner in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
