Volleyball Game Preview: Holly Springs Golden Hawks vs. Lumberton Pirates

The Holly Springs Golden Hawks will head out to take on the Lumberton Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Holly Springs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Purnell Swett with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Holly Springs took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-8, 25-11.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Lumberton and Purnell Swett had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Pirates blew past the Rams 3-0 last Thursday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-17, 25-11.

Holly Springs' win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Lumberton, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
