Baseball Recap: East Noble Knights vs. Huntington North Vikings

East Noble had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 6-4 to make it four. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Parker Kerr was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, East Noble saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Ramey, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

As for Huntington North, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games.

On Huntington North's side, Brayden Gearhart tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Gearhart has posted since April 5th.

At the plate, James Linker was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
