Volleyball Recap: Redington Victorious

Redington posted their closest win since October 8, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Huskies: when they faced off against the Eagles on Friday, they had to take a 1-0 loss.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (57-55) Redington actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 15-12.

Redington's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-17. As for Cook Inlet Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Redington will venture away from home to challenge Houston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cook Inlet Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ninilchik at 5:00 p.m. on October 7. The match will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
