Softball Game Preview: Steele Knights vs. Judson Rockets

The Steele Knights will take on the Judson Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Steele's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Judson has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Steele's last matchup with East Central could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. Steele came up short against East Central, falling 13-3.

Steele saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Vicenty, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Steele hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Judson got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over East Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rockets have posted since March 2, 2024.

Judson's win bumped their record up to 2-17. As for Steele, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Steele took their victory against Judson when the teams last played on March 4th by a conclusive 14-2. Does Steele have another victory up their sleeve, or will Judson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
