Basketball Recap: Tabernacle Comes Up Short

Tabernacle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 41-31 to the Tuscaloosa Christian Warriors. The match marked the Torches' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tuscaloosa Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alec Joiner out in front who went 5 for 10 on his way to 10 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Anglin, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Tabernacle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Tabernacle will take on Valley Fellowship Christian Academy in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th at. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, they will take on Clay County Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tuscaloosa Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season.
