            Basketball Recap: Campbell County Cougars vs. William Blount Governors        
        
		
        
        
             Campbell County couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the William Blount Governors by a score of  62-59 on Tuesday. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row dating back to last season.
 Campbell County's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Luke Browning, who  dropped  a double-double on 24 points and 13  rebounds, and  Will Croley, who  went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points plus seven  rebounds and two  steals. What's more,  Browning also posted a 53%  field goal percentage, which is the highest he's  posted since back in December of 2023.  Jake Hatmaker was another key player,  earning eight points.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when  the Campbell County Cougars  take on   the Oliver Springs Bobcats at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for William Blount, they will venture away from home to  take on Carter  at 4:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
