Soccer Recap: Coweta Comes Up Short

Coweta entered their match against Bishop Kelley on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers fell just short of the Comets by a score of 3-2. If Coweta were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Bishop Kelley when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Landon Stephens and Juan Rojas Morales scored both of Coweta's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Coweta's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bishop Kelley, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10.

Coming up, Coweta will face off against McAlester at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. McAlester will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Coweta surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bishop Kelley, they will square off against Nathan Hale at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Kelley are facing Nathan Hale at the right time seeing as Nathan Hale are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
