Basketball Recap: Lima Christian Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Honeoye wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lima Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Alyssa Marsh. The Lima Christian Saints came out on top against the Honeoye Bulldogs by a score of 58-50 on Monday thanks in part to Marsh, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 18 steals. Her evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Sophy Britton, who posted 18 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The victory made it two in a row for Lima Christian and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Honeoye, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Lima Christian will face off against Young Women's College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Young Women's College Prep will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Lima Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Honeoye, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Naples at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
