Soccer Recap: Deming Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chaparral on Tuesday, Deming came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Silver Fighting Colts by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Deming couldn't quite close it out.

Deming's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6-1. As for Silver, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Deming will challenge Santa Teresa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Teresa will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Deming surely won't give up without a fight. As for Silver, they will take on Chaparral at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silver will be up against Chaparral's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.13 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
