Softball Recap: Annawan-Wethersfield Takes a Loss

Annawan-Wethersfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Morrison Mustangs, falling 13-1. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Annawan-Wethersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Morrison, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Annawan-Wethersfield will challenge Galva at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Morrison, they will take on Ashton-Franklin Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Mustangs' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Raiders have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road.
