Football Game Preview: Passaic Indians vs. Eastside Ghosts + How To Watch

Passaic is 0-9 against Eastside since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Ghosts at 6:30 p.m. Passaic will be strutting in after a victory while Eastside will be coming in after a defeat.

Passaic will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points last Friday, then bounced right back against Teaneck on Friday. The Indians skirted past the Highwaymen 32-30. Considering the Indians' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Passaic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Edwin Hidalgo out in front who rushed for 163 yards while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Those 163 rushing yards gave Hidalgo a new career-high. Jamari Miller was in the mix as well, providing Passaic with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Passaic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 150 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Eastside came up short against Bayonne on Saturday, falling 33-13. The matchup marked the Ghosts' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Passaic's record is now 2-3. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Passaic couldn't quite finish off Eastside in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 10-7. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
