Basketball Recap: Piedmont Academy Comes Up Short

Piedmont Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 59-52 to the Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers.

Mount de Sales Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Rowley out in front who went 7 for 12 en route to 16 points and seven boards. John Paul Clark was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points.

Piedmont Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Mount de Sales Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Piedmont Academy will head out to square off against First Presbyterian Day at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Piedmont Academy is facing First Presbyterian Day at the right time seeing as First Presbyterian Day is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against John Milledge Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mount de Sales Academy will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: John Milledge Academy will have lost three straight heading into Monday's matchup.
