Softball Game Preview: Pacifica Tritons vs. San Marcos Royals

Pacifica hasn't had much luck against San Marcos recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tritons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Royals at 3:30 p.m. Pacifica has given up an average of 11.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pacifica is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a 19-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ventura. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (ten), the Tritons still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, San Marcos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 4-0 to Burroughs.

San Marcos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isa Malarkey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Pacifica's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for San Marcos, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Pacifica suffered a grim 15-3 defeat to San Marcos in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Tritons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
