Softball Recap: Bedford Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Bedford had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Sidney on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cowboys an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Bedford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sidney, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Bedford has already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against CAM on the 13th. As for Sidney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-15 win against East Mills on the 13th.
