Pine Grove is a perfect 10-0 against Falkner since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Pine Grove didn't have quite enough to beat New Albany and fell 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caroline Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Meanwhile, Falkner lost 16-1 to Alcorn Central last Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost four in a row.

Falkner's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pine Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Pine Grove came out on top in a nail-biter against Falkner in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
