Kenesaw is 6-0 against Hampton since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Kenesaw Blue Devils will be taking part in a tournament against the Hampton Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Kenesaw has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Kenesaw is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Harvard, posting a 77-7 win. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Cardinals are ranked 255th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Adam Denkert continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 of 11 on his way to 16 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four). Maddox Wagoner was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points and four steals.
Kenesaw smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Hampton faced off against Wilcox-Hildreth on Saturday. It was close, but Hampton capped 2024 with a 44-42 victory over Wilcox-Hildreth.
Hampton's win came from a few key players Kenesaw will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Landen Hansen, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Dose, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.
Kenesaw now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hampton, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Kenesaw has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Hampton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Kenesaw against Hampton in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, as the team secured a 70-31 victory. In that game, Kenesaw amassed a halftime lead of 37-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
