Basketball Game Preview: Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders vs. Bowie Bulldogs

The Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Bowie Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Eleanor Roosevelt is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Bladensburg: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Eleanor Roosevelt blew Bladensburg out of the water with a 64-29 final score. The Raiders pushed the score to 46-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Bowie won against Suitland on Tuesday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Bowie enjoyed a cozy 60-45 win over Suitland. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly 15 points.

The victory (which was Bowie's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Eleanor Roosevelt came up short against Bowie in their previous meeting back in February, falling 63-56. Can Eleanor Roosevelt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
