Soccer Recap: DeRuyter Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matches, DeRuyter finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They fell just short of the McGraw Eagles by a score of 2-1. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but DeRuyter couldn't quite close it out.

DeRuyter's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for McGraw, their record is now 7-0.

DeRuyter has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Madison Central on the 26th. McGraw has also already played their next match (against Brookfield Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
