Softball Recap: Gilbert Wins Going Away Against Grundy Center

Gilbert barely beat Grundy Center the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Spartans 9-1 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gilbert's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Grundy Center, they moved to 10-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Gilbert didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-3 victory against Sumner-Fredericksburg on the 14th. As for Grundy Center, they have also already played their next match, a 12-2 win against South Hamilton on the 14th.
