Recap: West Side Pirates vs. Bear Lake Bears
The West Side Pirates suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 73-26 loss at the hands of Bear Lake. While losing is never fun, West Side can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Bear Lake is ranked 16th).
Tommi Henderson was West Side's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
West Side has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Bear Lake, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Side will take on Soda Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Soda Springs is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Bear Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marsh Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Marsh Valley is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
