Volleyball Game Preview: Woodland Wolves vs. Rio Linda Knights

Woodland hasn't had much luck against Rio Linda recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Woodland will host Rio Linda at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Woodland is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 19th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against El Camino, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-8, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Rio Linda didn't have quite enough to beat Natomas on Monday and fell 3-2. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Nighthawks 25-15 in the first set.

Rio Linda actually scored more points across those five sets (103-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 15-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-10.

Rio Linda has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
