Soccer Game Preview: Wareham vs. Avon

The Wareham Vikings will square off against the Avon Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Wareham's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wareham lost 5-1 to Atlantis on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Avon came up short against Holbrook on Friday and fell 5-3. Avon have struggled against Holbrook recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Avon's loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Wareham, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Wareham skirted past Avon 4-3 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
