Basketball Recap: Brownstown/St. Elmo Comes Up Short

Brownstown/St. Elmo's last matchup with Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. The Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles lost 62-37 to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg. The Eagles were down 49-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylan Rincker, who posted nine points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Rincker a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Bible, who went 5-for-10 en route to 10 points and five boards.

Brownstown/St. Elmo has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season.

Brownstown/St. Elmo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 40-29 loss against Farina South Central on the 24th. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-42 defeat against Nokomis on the 24th.
